Letter: Disabilities group welcomes input

Share

The Burbank Advisory Council on Disabilities is a group of citizens who come together every month to discuss how our Burbank residents, whether in a wheelchair, using walkers or canes, visually/hearing impaired, or using buggies or strollers access various businesses, streets, the mall, etc. We review upcoming projects and barriers that can make it harder for everyone to enjoy and use everything the city offers and work with staff to try and get solutions implemented.

We need residents to come and share their opinions and help us solve some of these issues. Please consider coming to a meeting soon and bring your friends and neighbors along too. With more input, together we can make a difference in the community.

The Burbank Advisory Council on Disabilities meets from 1 to 2 p.m. every fourth Thursday at the Community Service Building at 350 E. Olive, Burbank. For more information, please email me at ksanks@sbcglobal.net.
