Letter: It was worth it to step up for sidewalks

I can’t believe there’s a sidewalk across our front yard now on Screenland Drive. It was a long, hard struggle. My son and daughter-in-law want to know how soon it will be stroller ready.

We, the school kids and the handicapped thank Mayor Emily Gable-Luddy, Councilman Jess Talamantes and Councilman Gary Bric. Future generations of school kids will never know or care why there are now sidewalks on Screenland — they will just enjoy not walking in the street or across wet grass.
