Leader Sports Roundup: Burbank girls’ volleyball falls in first-round playoff match

GIRLS’ VOLLEYBALL

Norco d. Burbank, 25-17, 25-19, 25-18: The Bulldogs saw their season come to a close Thursday with a first-round loss on the road in the CIF Southern Section Division IV playoffs.

Burbank, which placed fourth in the Pacific League, finishes 14-19.

Norco (19-1) is the No. 1 seed and won the Palomares League championship.

GIRLS’ TENNIS

Glendale 10, Burbank 8: The Bulldogs dropped their Pacific League finale match at home Thursday.

Burbank (9-6, 6-6 in league) finished fourth in league.

Burroughs 17, Pasadena 1: The Indians closed out the regular season with a Pacific League victory Thursday at home.

Burroughs is 3-9 in league and overall.
