Burroughs 7, Hoover 1: Lily Gonzalez had three goals and Lauryn Bailey added two in lifting the Indians to a Pacific League home victory Friday at Memorial Field.

Burroughs improved to 11-4-2, 7-2-1 in league.

Crescenta Valley 4, Burbank 0: The Bulldogs (2-5-3 in league) were shut out Friday in a Pacific League contest at home.

BOYS’ SOCCER

Burroughs 2, Hoover 1: Elias Galaviz had two goals for the Indians in a Pacific League win Friday on the road.

Burroughs, the defending league champion, improved to 9-6-3, 7-1-2 in league.

The win moves the Indians into a first-place tie in league with Pasadena, as both teams have 23 points.

Crescenta Valley 3, Burbank 0: The Bulldogs slipped to 2-10, 1-9 in the Pacific League following a loss Friday on the road.

GIRLS’ WATER POLO

Hoover 9, Burbank 6: The Bulldogs dropped the Pacific League match Thursday against the host Tornadoes.

Burbank is 10-7, 3-2 in league.

Pasadena 8, Burroughs 7: The Indians slipped to 15-6, 3-2 in the Pacific League with the loss Thursday on the road.

GIRLS’ BASKETBALL

Rio Hondo Prep 38, Providence 36: The Pioneers fell in Prep League action on the road Friday.

Audrey Sayoc had 11 points, seven rebounds and five steals and Ava Tibbs added 10 points, nine rebounds and four steals for Providence (14-8, 4-3 in league).

Crescenta Valley 67, Burbank 26: The Bulldogs slipped to 8-14, 2-8 in the Pacific League with the loss Friday on the road.

Burroughs 65, Hoover 31: Dyani Del Castillo and Kayla Wrobel scored 14 points each for the Indians on Friday in a Pacific League win on the road.

Burroughs (18-5, 9-1 in league) also received 10 points from Faith Boulanger.

BOYS’ BASKETBALL

Providence 81, Rio Hondo Prep 29: The first-place Pioneers remained unbeaten in Prep League play with the win Friday on the road.

Providence, the defending league champion, improved to 18-6, 5-0 in league.

Crescenta Valley 61, Burbank 51: The Bulldogs were unable to get by the host Falcons in absorbing the Pacific League loss Friday.

Burbank falls to 6-16, 2-7 in league.
