GIRLS’ VOLLEYBALL
Burroughs d. Hoover, 25-11 25-10 25-11: The Indians won their Pacific League match Tuesday afternoon on the road.
Burroughs is 9-2, 5-1 in league.
Burbank d. Muir, 25-7, 25-4, 25-13: The Bulldogs remained undefeated and in first place in the Pacific League with the win Tuesday afternoon at home.
Burbank is 12-1, 6-0 in league.
St. Mary’s Academy d. Bellarmine-Jefferson, 22-25, 25-11, 25-19, 25-12: The Guards fell to 1-5, 0-3 in the Santa Fe League with the loss Tuesday evening on the road.
GIRLS’ TENNIS
Glendale 10, Burroughs 8: The host Indians (2-4, 2-3 in league) dropped a Pacific League match Tuesday at home.
Arcadia 16, Burbank 2: The visiting Bulldogs received two wins in singles from Kristina Kirakosyan in Pacific League action Tuesday afternoon.
Burbank is 4-2 overall and in league.
BOYS’ CROSS-COUNTRY
Burbank in Billy York Invitational: The Bulldogs ran to a first-place finish Saturday at the Riverside Cross-Country Course.
Burbank, which bested Arroyo, 58-64, for the top spot, was paced by Andres Leon, who placed fourth in 15 minutes, 58.10 seconds. He was followed by Victor Goli (fifth, 16:00.40), Dayne Ellis (eighth, 16:10.60), Jahir Olvera (16th, 16:26.70) and Anthony Chiaravalle (25th, 16:33.40).
Providence in Brentwood Invitational: Ryan Donnelly ran to a 19th-place finish in 18 minutes, 3 seconds Saturday at Brentwood High.
Conrad Davis (51st, 19:43), Brian Chan (55th, 19:03), Gabriel Serenil (85th, 21:02) and Raymond DiSalvo (90th, 21:18) scored for Providence, which placed 10th.
GIRLS’ CROSS-COUNTRY
Burbank in Billy York Invitational: The Bulldogs placed second Saturday at the Riverside Cross-Country Course.
Claremont (64) finished first with Burbank (81) earning the runner-up spot.
The Bulldogs were paced by Sol Fernandez, who placed fifth in 18 minutes, 49.70 seconds. She was followed by Noemi Apreza (11th, 19:07.70), Shalom Mejia (20th, 19:50.20), Jordan Delgado (21st, 19:50.30) and Lydia Forsyth (27th, 20:07.70).
Providence in Brentwood Invitational: Carissa Guardado placed second in 19 minutes, 34 seconds Saturday at Brentwood High.
Other runners for Providence were Sandra Vargas (48th; 23:47) and Lauren Gregorio (95th; 28:51).
BOYS’ WATER POLO
Burbank 13, Milken Community 11: The Bulldogs won their sixth nonleague match Monday afternoon at UCLA.
Brandon Wilson had six goals, three assists and five steals to pace Burbank.
