Burroughs, Burbank in Pacific League Match No. 1: The Indians placed third and the Bulldogs were fifth in the event Thursday at Alhambra Golf Course.
Arcadia won the match with a team score of 190. It was followed by San Marino (212), Burroughs (219), Crescenta Valley (230) and Burbank (253).
The medalist was Arcadia’s Chi Chi Min, who fired a two-under-par 36.
Burroughs was paced by Joany Gao, who shot a 39. Teammates Ravipa Losakul and Jasmine Daniel had 40s, Alex Chandler had a 47 and Shannon Pafford had a 53.
For Burbank, Tess Apinchapong shot a 44, Nicole Chang had a 46, Melani Cho had a 51, Haley Pirruccello had a 53 and Jordan Card had a 59.
Burroughs 236, Crescenta Valley 278: The Indians opened the season Wednesday with an overwhelming nonleague victory against their Pacific League foe at Brookside Golf Course No. 1.
Burroughs’ Ravipa Losakul earned medalist honors, firing a one-over-par 37.
Teammate Jasmine Daniel shot a 44, Joany Gao had a 45, Alex Chandler and Shannon Pafford had 55s and Evyn Freedman had a 58.
Chaminade 261, Burbank 284: The Bulldogs couldn’t win the nonleague match Wednesday at De Bell Golf Club.
Tess Apinchapong paced Burbank, firing a 53. She was followed by Haley Pirruccello 56, Jordan Card and Melanie Cho with 58s, Charly Taylor with a 59 and Nicole Chang with a 62.
Golden Valley 245, Alemany 245, Burbank 249: The three teams took part in a close nonleague match Tuesday at El Cariso Golf Course.
Tess Apinchapong played well for the Bulldogs, firing a 38. Teammate Haley Pirruccello had a 46, Jordan Card had a 51, Pauline Saisrkul — playing in her first varsity match — had a 55, Melanie Cho had a 59 and Alaysha Riley had a 64 in her varsity debut.

La Cañada 10, Burbank 8: The Bulldogs played well but lost their opening nonleague contest Thursday at home.
Burbank won seven singles sets.
