BURROUGHS VS.

CRESCENTA VALLEY

WHEN: 7 p.m. Thursday.

WHERE: Moyse Field (Glendale High).

RECORDS: The Indians are 4-3, 4-0 in league: the Falcons are 4-3, 2-2.

LAST WEEK: Burroughs defeated Glendale, 35-6; Crescenta Valley lost to Pasadena, 21-14.

OUTLOOK: Burroughs keeps rolling on in its quest to repeat as Pacific League champion, a title they shared with Burbank. The Indians are in the midst of a four-game winning streak, as they lost all three of their nonleague games and have been victorious in all four league contests. Crescenta Valley comes into the game on a two-game league losing streak. The Falcons also fell to Muir, 39-16.

SOMETHING INTERESTING: Burroughs cracked the CIF Southern Section Southeast Division top 10, coming in at No. 10 this week.

BURBANK AT PASADENA

WHEN: 7 p.m. Friday.

WHERE: Pasadena High.

RECORDS: Burbank is 5-2, 3-1 in league; Pasadena is 3-4, 2-2.

LAST WEEK: Burbank lost to Arcadia, 48-20; Pasadena lost to Burroughs, 36-6

OUTLOOK: Burbank will be attempting to bounce back after suffering its first Pacific League loss of the season last week. Burbank, which won a share of the league title last season, can’t likely afford another setback if it hopes to repeat. The locals will face a Pasadena team that doesn’t score a lot of points, as it averages 14.4 a contest.

SOMETHING INTERESTING: Last week’s loss dropped Burbank to No. 9 in the CIF Southern Section Southeast Division.
