Cameron Meeker, Sr., Forward, La Cañada

Rio Hondo League offensive MVP led the Spartans to the CIF Southern Section Division V quarterfinals, scoring a team-high 24 goals and notching 19 assists. Earned All-CIF first-team honors and is headed to play for Sacramento State in the fall.

Matt Canatta, Senior, Forward, La Cañada

The University of Hartford-bound forward earned All-CIF Southern Section Division V and Rio Hondo League first-team honors after posting a team-high 20 assists. He was constantly relied on to score a big goals for the Spartans, finishing with 21.

Mark Verso, Soph.,Forward, St. Francis

Led the Knights in goals scored with 22, while posting six assists. The Mission League MVP helped St. Francis go 9-3 in league, finishing second behind Loyola. The Knights’ season ended in the quarterfinals of the CIF Southern Section Division I playoffs.

Levon Sargsyan, Senior, Forward, Glendale

The Pacific League first-team selection had 23 goals and 10 assists. He led the Nitros to an 11-3-8 record (6-6 in league) and an appearance in the first round of the CIF Southern Section Division IV playoffs.

Mauricio Cortes, Sr., Midfielder, Burroughs

All-Pacific League first-team selection led the Indians offense with 14 goals and 15 assists. His play-making ability took Burroughs to a second-place finish in league and the first round of the CIF Southern Section Division IV playoffs.

Armand Bagramyan, Soph., For., La Cañada

The third piece in formidable line of Spartans forwards earned All-CIF and All-Rio Hondo League honors. He finished with 21 goals and eight assists to help the Spartans reach the quarterfinals of the CIF Southern Section Division V playoffs before losing to eventual-champion Carpinteria.

Eric Verso, Senior, Forward, St. Francis

The Stanford-bound forward recorded 11 goals and two assists, despite dealing with a hamstring injury. The All-CIF Southern Section Division I first-team selection helped the Knights go 15-10 and reach the CIF Southern Section Division I quarterfinals.

Arash Mahboubi, Sr., Midfielder, La Cañada

All-CIF and All-Rio Hondo League pick was a facilitator for the Spartans, finishing with 19 assists and eight goals. His play helped La Cañada go undefeated with a 10-0 record in league and another Rio Hondo League championship.

Alex Berger, Junior, Midfielder, Cres. Valley

The All-CIF and All-Pacific League selection compiled 15 assists and four goals. He helped the Falcons reach the CIF Southern Section Division III quarterfinals for the first time in program history.

Jake Laporte, Senior, Defender, St. Francis

All-CIF Southern Section Division I third-team member anchored a Knights’ defense that posted five shutouts. The first-team All-Mission League defender helped St. Francis post a 9-3 league record.

Jack Hale, Senior, Goalkeeper, La Cañada

The anchor to La Cañada’s defense the past three years in net earned All-CIF second-team honors. The All-Rio Hondo League first-team selection compiled 12 shutouts, as the Spartans surrendered just 19 goals to post a 24-1-2 record.

COACH OF THE YEAR

Kiel McClung, Crescenta Valley

McClung led a Falcons squad that accomplished plenty of milestones for the program, including the team’s first appearance in the CIF Southern Section Division III quarterfinals. In addition, three Falcons players earned All-CIF first-team accolades for the first time. Crescenta Valley went 15-3-5, 11-0-3 in the Pacific League, capturing the team’s second consecutive league championship.
