Providence girls’ basketball headed back to state playoffs
After advancing to the CIF Southern Section Division 5-AA playoffs for a second straight season, the Providence High girls’ basketball team is headed back to the CIF-State Tournament for a second straight season.
As released on Sunday evening, the Pioneers will host Tri-City Christian on Wednesday night at 7 p.m. in the first round of state play in the Division 5 tournament.
Providence (19-10) takes on a Tri-City Christian team (23-6) that was a runner-up in the San Diego Section. The winner faces second-seeded Sierra Canyon or Kings Christian in Saturday’s second round.
