Bell-Jeff boys’ basketball wins tournament title
BOYS’ BASKETBALL
Bellarmine-Jefferson 66, Chatsworth 51: Led by tournament most valuable player Abid Oses, the Guards won the championship of the Huntington Park Tournament on Saturday.
Oses, a junior, had 20 points and 13 rebounds for Bell-Jeff (9-5). Teammate Isaac Etter added 22 points and Clark Thomas had 11 points and 13 rebounds.
GIRLS’ BASKETBALL
Burbank 60, Muir 39: Yassemeen Sa’Dullah and Fatima Cisneros both contributed 18 points Monday to help the Bulldogs earn a Pacific League win at home.
Sa’Dullah added six rebounds and five steals and Cisneros had seven rebounds for Burbank (9-6, 2-1 in league). Ratiana Karapet contributed 10 points and five assists.
GIRLS’ SOCCER
Burbank 15, Muir 1: The Bulldogs (5-2-1, 2-1) had little trouble earning the Pacific League victory Monday on the road.
BOYS’ SOCCER
Muir 3, Burbank 1: The Bulldogs slipped to 1-7 and 0-3 in league with the Pacific League loss Monday at home.
Harry Avetisyan scored the lone goal for Burbank in the seventh minute to give the Bulldogs a 1-0 lead.
