Felony charges were filed Thursday against a 22-year-old Burbank man suspected of stabbing a Sunland man last month.
Eric Wang was charged with one count of attempted murder using a knife and another count of assault with a deadly weapon, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office.
Wang was arrested after police discovered the victim — identified in the felony complaint as Anthony Savage — on the sidewalk in the 1600 block of West Alameda Avenue with severe injuries on the evening of Jan. 25.
Wang was released two days later after posting $500,000 bail.
Savage, 22, was transported to the hospital with severe head and upper-body injuries, including stab wounds and blunt-force trauma, authorities said.
It appears the two men knew each other, police said.
Wang is due back in court later this month.
