An ordinance to speed up the application process for installing rooftop solar panels on residential homes won early support from the Glendale City Council on Tuesday. Council members were receptive to the policy change that would expedite the building-and-safety review inspection.
Several Jarvis Avenue neighbors of the family of the late Army Staff Sgt. Scott Studenmund turned out for the La Cañada Planning Commission meeting Tuesday night to support his mother Jaynie’s variance request to build a 25-foot flagpole in his honor on their property. Police on Wednesday released security footage of a man stealing two display phones from the AT&T store in the Glendale Galleria. The man was browsing cellphones at the store when he removed the security tether from two of them and pocketed them before leaving, said Glendale police spokeswoman Tahnee Lightfoot.
