Firefighters knocked down a fire Friday afternoon that caused an estimated $200,000 in damage to a Burbank home, fire officials said.
At around 12:25 p.m., 21 firefighters responded to the 1800 block of North Maple Street, where they fought a small fire located in a bedroom of a one-story house, said Burbank Fire Capt. Peter Hendrickson.
Firefighters evaluated a woman at the scene who was outside when firefighters arrived, but had been exposed to smoke. She reportedly declined to be transported to the hospital and made arrangements to stay with a relative.
Burbank police managed traffic while firefighters extinguished the blaze in 15 minutes, Hendrickson said.
The cause of the blaze remained under investigation.
