House appoints Schiff to Benghazi investigation committee

Share

Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Burbank) was appointed this week to the House’s Select Committee on Benghazi to help investigate the deaths of four Americans stemming from a 2012 attack on the U.S. Embassy in Libya, though he questions if another investigation is needed.

He was tapped for the committee by House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi.

More than a year and a half after the attack, there have been eight reports conducted on the incident and they seem to have answered all questions, Schiff said.

“While I do not believe that yet another committee to investigate Benghazi is either needed or warranted, I said that if it was felt I could add value, I would serve,” he said in a statement.
