Man arrested after three incidents at same pharmacy

A 25-year-old Los Angeles man was arrested after a series of incidents in which he allegedly robbed, burglarized and attempted to rob a CVS Pharmacy in Burbank, police said.

Thomas Taylor allegedly entered the pharmacy — located at 511 N. Hollywood Way — on Saturday evening and demanded Xanax while flashing a knife in his waistband, said Burbank Police Sgt. Darin Ryburn.

The following morning, Taylor allegedly entered the same pharmacy, again demanding Xanax. When the pharmacist moved toward the phone, Taylor reportedly jumped over the counter, at which point the pharmacist — fearing for her safety — led him to a shelf storing the medication, he said.

Taylor then fled with a bottle of Xanax, Ryburn said.

At around 4 a.m. on Monday, Taylor returned to the pharmacy and demanded another prescription, at which point police were called and responded to the scene.

Taylor was released from police custody on Tuesday after posting bail and is due in court later this month, Los Angeles County jail records show.
