OCC Original Play Festival

Coffee Talk at TBY

Sunday morning’s Coffee Talk discussion at Temple Bat Yahm, 1011 Camelback St., Newport Beach, will be a discussion with Tessa Kershnar and Steve Parker — marriage and family therapists — on how to make the most of your marriage. The session, which begins at 9 a.m. in the Marcus Library at TBY, is open to the public.

Day at The Bay

Tias Arms Annual

Celebration

Tias Arms, a nonprofit started by Hoag Hospital nurse Joanne Baker to reach out to South African children abandoned or orphaned by the HIV/AIDS epidemic, will hold its 11th annual fundraising benefit from 1 to 4 p.m. at Chapman University’s Beckman Hall 404. Craig MacDonald gives a talk at the Costa Mesa Historical Society about Jessie Benton Fremont, a woman who helped save the Yosemite Valley and Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias. The talk at the CMHS, 1870 Anaheim Ave., begins at 2:30 p.m.

Kick-Off Party for

Newport-Ensenada

The ExplorOcean/Newport Harbor Nautical Museum, Newport Ocean Sailing Assn., Balboa Business Improvement District and Visit Newport Beach will throw a kick-off party for the 2012 Newport to Ensenada Race. The citywide party is from noon to 4 p.m. at the Balboa Fun Zone.
