Firm hired to lead search for Burbank Chamber of Commerce’s next director

Share

The Burbank Chamber of Commerce is seeking a new executive director after the retirement last month of Gary Olson, who had served as the chamber’s president and chief executive for 11 years.

A seven-member special committee of the chamber’s board of directors has hired the consulting firm McIntyre-St. Clair LLC to conduct the executive search, develop a strategic plan and assist in the transition, according to a statement.

The chamber — which represents businesses and lobbies on various economic issues at the local, state and federal levels — has roughly 1,000 member businesses with about 33,000 employees in Burbank.

Candidates can apply for the executive director position by emailing don@msstrategy.com a detailed letter of interest outlining their qualifications related to the position description — available online here — along with a resume and three references. The deadline for applications is Feb. 5.
