Share

A new Cambria Hotel & Suites is expected to open in Irvine in early 2017.

The 122-room hotel at 17662 Armstrong Ave. is an effort of parent company Choice Hotels International and franchise partner Jalili/Spitzig LLC.

“The Irvine area is a prime area for new upscale hotels like the Cambria Hotels & Suites brand, as Orange County remains the third-largest center in the state for tourism-related employment and attracts an ever-increasing number of leisure and business travelers,” said Jim Spitzig, who is part of the ownership group along with Monir and Houshang Jalili. Spitzig is president of Level 3 Development, which has built several midlevel to upscale hotel projects.

Cambria hotels feature amenities such as a contemporary bistro, a barista bar, meeting space and an indoor pool and fitness center.
