The Irvine Public Schools Foundation offered more than 80 classes to over 200 Irvine Unified School District students in second through eighth grades during the foundation’s annual Enrichment Day on Monday.

The daylong event at Jeffrey Trail Middle School in Irvine was held on Presidents Day, a school holiday, and provided students with subjects that may not be offered in their regular classrooms, including Lego engineering, Jedi Academy, break dance, 3-D design and beginning animation, cooking, video game design, filmmaking, hand sewing and caricature drawing.

Enrichment Day also is a fundraiser for the Innovative Teaching Award program, which gives grants to select Irvine Unified teachers.
