Billionaire investor and philanthropist Warren Buffett is placing his Laguna Beach house on the market for $11 million, Villa Real Estate listing agent Bill Dolby said Friday.

The 3,588-square-foot, six-bedroom house, at 27 Emerald Bay, sits steps from the beach on a corner lot offering ocean views from most of the rooms, according to Villa Real Estate’s website.

“They don’t use it anymore like they used to,” Dolby said in confirming a Wall Street Journal article that reported the family had considered the place, built in 1936, a vacation home.

Buffett, CEO of Berkshire Hathaway, Inc., purchased the house in 1971 and has “remodeled [it] a couple of different times over the years,” Dolby said.

Buffett lives in Omaha, Neb., and carries a net worth of $75.6 billion, according to the Forbes website.
