Volunteers pitch in to help during Neighbors Helping Neighbors event

Share

Costa Mesa Mayor Steve Mensinger and other volunteers rolled up their sleeves Saturday to spruce up local homes during the second annual Neighbors Helping Neighbors event.

Volunteers painted and performed yard work at three Costa Mesa homes — one each on West 19th Street, Fullerton Avenue and Bowling Green Drive, according to the city.

Two houses were cleaned up during last year’s effort.

“It’s always impressive how many volunteers answer the call when we ask for help,” Mensinger said in a statement before Saturday’s event.
