Biz News: Triangle center adds holiday decor

The Triangle shopping center in downtown Costa Mesa is decked out for the holiday season.

The 200,000-square-foot center has 3,300 white lights illuminating 19 palm trees around the property, hundreds of feet of green garland adorned with bows and lights and eight green wreaths, along with snowflakes projected on the inside of the Triangle’s rotunda, according to a news release.

Creamistry opens at Triangle

Creamistry, a chain of liquid-nitrogen ice cream shops, opened a store last weekend in Costa Mesa’s Triangle shopping center. Patrons received free ice cream and T-shirts.

The shop is in Suite 104 at the Triangle, 1875 Newport Blvd.

Creamistry has another location in Costa Mesa at 3033 Bristol St. and a shop in Irvine at the Crossroads center, 3972 Barranca Pkwy.

Hoag Hospital hires new executive

Hoag Hospital in Newport Beach has named Patrick Anderson as its senior vice president and chief information officer.

Anderson previously worked in a similar position for Ochsner Health System in Louisiana, where he led telemedicine efforts and other systems across a network of 25 hospitals.

“We are pleased to welcome Patrick Anderson to Hoag and to add his extensive IT leadership experience to our team,” Robert Braithwaite, Hoag president and chief executive, said in a statement. “He will help ensure that Hoag continues to deliver the highest-quality patient care through the leadership of systems, staff and through the adoption of advanced technology.”

Ralph Lauren reopens South Coast Plaza store

Ralph Lauren, a luxury designer brand in apparel, home items, accessories and fragrances, reopened its renovated store in South Coast Plaza on Nov. 5.

The new-look store, on the Costa Mesa mall’s lower level near Jewel Court, has high ceilings, bronze interiors and French limestone floors. There also is a showcase for vintage and fine jewelry selected specifically for the location.

South Coast Plaza is at 3333 Bristol St.

Ritz Prime Seafood raises funds for nonprofit

The Ritz Prime Seafood in Newport Beach recently raised more than $11,300 to benefit Transforming Youth Recovery, a Reno-based nonprofit that helps students recovering from substance abuse.

The Ritz reopened in October with a new location at 2801 W. Coast Hwy.
