Authorities are looking for additional witnesses to a car-to-car shooting in Costa Mesa on Sunday evening.

Costa Mesa police said they got a report around 5:25 p.m. about a shooting near the intersection of Bear Street and Paularino Avenue.

According to a witness, a man leaned out the rear driver’s side window of a dark SUV and shot several rounds at a nearby vehicle, Costa Mesa police Sgt. Matt Selinske said.

Both cars were moving at the time, Selinske said. Police could not immediately provide a description of the second vehicle.

Other than the initial report, no victims or other witnesses have come forward, according to police.

“We have no idea if anyone was injured or not,” Selinske said.
