3 injured when car crashes into light pole near South Coast Plaza
Three people were hospitalized Friday after their car crashed into a light pole next to South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa, authorities said.
Firefighters responded to a report of a crash at about 3:30p.m. at Sunflower Avenue and Bear Street, said Capt. Chris Coates of the Costa Mesa Fire Department.
All three occupants of the car had to be taken to a trauma center, Coates said.
The crash backed up traffic near the shopping center.
