A 23-year-old Uber driver was arrested early Monday in Costa Mesa as he was driving three female passengers in a car that police said contained a knife, methamphetamine and Xanax bars.

Ramon Iribe was driving a Nissan Maxima in the 400 block of Fair Drive at 2:30 a.m. when an officer pulled him over and realized there was a warrant out for his arrest, according to the Costa Mesa Police Department.

Iribe, a Corona resident, was arrested on suspicion of possession of a concealed knife, methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and unprescribed Xanax bars, police said.

He was booked into Orange County Jail with bail set at $35,000.

According to Orange County Superior Court records, Iribe was charged in January with corporal injury on a spouse or cohabitant, a misdemeanor, and was listed as a fugitive. The arrest warrant was related to that case.

In September, he pleaded not guilty to four charges of misdemeanor battery and a misdemeanor charge of child abuse, according to court records.
