Huntington Harbour Boat Parade to present ‘Symphony of Lights’ this weekend

The Huntington Harbour Boat Parade sails for the 54th time this weekend with a “Symphony of Lights” theme.

Decorated boats will parade through the harbor Saturday and Sunday in search of 16 trophies in categories ranging from Most Religious to Best Commercial Entry.

Then, starting Dec. 16, is the Cruise of Lights, six nights of 45-minute narrated boat tours of the holiday displays on harbor homes, docks, decks and boats. In addition, 70-minute cruises will be provided on two nights.

The event is presented by the Huntington Harbour Philharmonic Committee, which uses money raised from the Cruise of Lights to support the music education programs of the Philharmonic Society of Orange County.

• 45-minute cruises: $19 for adults, $12 for children ages 2 to 12; kids younger than 2 admitted free

• 70-minute cruises: $29 for adults, $23 for children

• Santa’s Special Value Night, Dec. 19: $2 discount on all tickets and a free gift for children 12 and younger
