Officers found a man with a serious stab wound. Authorities suspect the stabbing occurred in an alley near where the man was found, Marlatt said.

The man, whose name was not released, was taken to a trauma center in critical but stable condition, Marlatt said. He would not provide any information about the stabbing, she said.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Huntington Beach police at (714) 960-8811.
