Firefighters battled a raging fire late Sunday that caused about $600,000 in damage to a Seal Beach home, authorities said.

The blaze was reported at about 11:50 p.m. at a home in the 400 block of Jade Cove Way, said Capt. Alan Wilkes of the Orange County Fire Authority.

Wilkes said witnesses reported hearing explosions coming from the home.

About 30 firefighters contained the fire within about a half-hour. No injuries were reported, but the fire caused about $500,000 worth of damage to the home and $100,000 to the contents, Wilkes said.
