Broken main line temporarily shuts down Volcom Skate Park

Share

The Volcom Skate Park of Costa Mesa is expected to be closed for the next few days while workers repair a main line that broke over the weekend.

An adjacent restroom also is closed as a result of the failure of the 6-inch line, according to a post on the city’s Facebook page Monday. The city didn’t specify whether the broken line is a water main or a sewer main.

“The park and restroom are expected to remain closed over the next several days while repairs are completed,” the post states. “We will update you with new information as it becomes available.”

A picture accompanying the post showed one of the bowls at the skate park filled with water.

It’s not clear what caused the line to break or when the skate park will reopen. City spokesman Tony Dodero could not immediately be reached for comment Monday afternoon.

The skate park is at 900 Arlington Drive.
