HONOLULU — The visiting Anteaters went scoreless during an 8½-minute stretch in the first half and the Rainbow Warriors made 14 three-pointers in a showdown of Big West Conference co-leaders on Thursday.

UCI (18-7, 7-2 in conference) led, 11-9, before Hawaii (19-3, 8-1) scored 13 straight points to take control.

Hawaii shot 46.7% from three-point range, while UCI made just four of 16 from threedom.

Luke Nelson led UCI with 11 points and Mamadou Ndiaye added 10.

Dominique Dunning made four of five field-goal tries to contribute eight points and he added five rebounds, while Jonathan Galloway had six points and a team-best eight boards for UCI.

Roderick Bobbitt made six of 10 three-point tries to lead Hawaii with 23 points.

UCI plays host to Cal State Northridge on Saturday at 7 p.m.

Hawaii visits UCI on Feb. 20 at 8:30 p.m.
