Orange Coast 9, Santa Ana 3

The Pirates won their final regular-season home game by balancing strong offense with quality pitching in an Orange Empire Conference clash on Thursday.

Austin Moore allowed four hits and one unearned run in six innings to register the victory that included 14 OCC hits.

Jake Scott was three for four with a home run and two runs batted in, while Chris Prescott was two for three with three runs and a stolen base for the Pirates (17-18, 8-12 in conference).

J.T. Navarro was two for three with two RBIs and two runs, Andrew Garcia had two hits and Daniel Hawkins added two RBIs for the winners, who complete the regular season Friday at Santa Ana at 2 p.m.

Santa Ana is 19-16, 6-14.

MEN’S TENNIS

UC Santa Barbara 4, UC Irvine 0

INDIAN WELLS — The Anteaters had their season end in the semifinals of the Big West Conference Tournament on Thursday at Indian Wells Tennis Garden.

Tyler Pham had split two sets in his No. 4 singles match that was not finished. Pham and Jonathan Hammel were also leading, 5-3, in their No. 2 doubles match that was halted early after UCSB swept the doubles point.

UCI finishes 17-9.

UCSB is 16-6.

SOFTBALL

Santa Ana 10, Orange Coast 7

Anna Marin had two doubles and drove in three runs to pace the host Pirates in the Orange Empire Conference finale on Thursday.

Linnea Donahugh and Ariel Fernandez had two hits apiece for OCC (10-25, 6-15 in conference).

Santa Ana is 20-20, 11-10.
