A registered sex offender on parole was arrested late Saturday on suspicion of exposing himself to people at The Triangle shopping and restaurant center in Costa Mesa, police said.

The man was being aggressive toward other patrons and was kicked out of the Black Knight restaurant in the 1800 block of Newport Boulevard around 11:40 p.m., police Lt. Greg Scott said. While he was walking around The Triangle, the man slid down his pants to expose his genitals, Scott said.

Security detained the man until police officers arrived.

Tony Harris, 37, of Santa Ana was taken into custody on suspicion of indecent exposure.
