With raincoats and umbrellas in hand, locals braved wet and windy weather during their travels Friday morning.

Downpours from a Pacific storm that hit Orange County on Thursday evening continued into Friday, dousing some areas with more than an inch of rain.

Costa Mesa and Fountain Valley both received 1.14 inches, while Newport Beach and Laguna Beach saw nearly an inch, according to Orange County Public Works’ rainfall tracking website.

The National Weather Service said the clouds are expected to disperse by Saturday, making way for sunny skies through the weekend. A wind advisory for gusts of 15 to 20 mph will remain in effect until early Saturday.

Daytime temperatures will be in the high 50s to low 60s through much of Saturday and Sunday, with nighttime lows in the 40s, the National Weather Service said.
