Pets brave the waves at Surf City Surf Dog contest

More than 70 dogs battled waves and swells over the weekend during the annual Unleashed by Petco Surf City Surf Dog competition in Huntington Beach.

The canines participated in various events Saturday and Sunday at Huntington Dog Beach, including stand-up paddleboarding with their owners and a surfing competition that featured heats for dogs of all sizes.
