AREA 1

Hillcrest Drive: Vandalism was reported in the 600 block at 7:09 a.m. Sunday. The caller said the women’s restroom at Riddle Field was vandalized again. The restroom’s mirror was broken. The caller reported vandalism was an ongoing problem. The loss was estimated at $100.

AREA 3

Laguna Avenue and South Coast Highway: A disorderly person was reported at 11:37 a.m. Saturday. The caller said a man, carrying a red blanket, was walking up to people and screaming at them. The man was also walking in and out of traffic, the caller reported.

San Remo Drive: A suspicious person was reported in the 1900 block at 8:48 p.m. Saturday. The caller said a 25-year-old man was out front asking if there was a good place to hide, as he was playing hide and seek. The caller said he was with a 13-year-old.

Treetop Lane: A disturbance was reported in the 21600 block at 3:34 p.m. Sunday. The caller said four juveniles were skateboarding on school property.

Forest Avenue: Petty theft was reported in the 200 block at 3:38 p.m. on Sunday. The caller said a woman in her late 40s wearing a beanie put a linen tunic top in her purse. The caller reported the theft was observed on a surveillance camera. The loss was estimated at $150.

Ocean Avenue: Trespassing was reported in the 200 block at 1:01 p.m. on Monday. The caller said a transient was inside Bank of America and refusing to leave. The transient reportedly kept running inside the bank and yelling at employees to give him his money.

AREA 4

South Coast Highway: A stolen vehicle was reported in the 2500 block at 11:12 a.m. on Friday. At Casa Laguna Inn & Spa, a woman said she believes her date stole the black BMW X3 she rented. The woman said she believes the man left last night for New Jersey. Police found the vehicle unoccupied in the Ritz Carlton valet loop and returned it to the renter.

South Coast Highway: Petty theft was reported in the 2:02 p.m. on Monday. The caller said he was inside a white Chevy pick-up when two males approached him. One man reportedly distracted the driver while the other stole tools out of his truck.

AREA 5

Summit Road: Grand theft was reported in the 31500 block at 8:58 a.m. Sunday. The caller’s two vehicles were reportedly rifled through last night and $100 was stolen.

Eagle Rock Way: Petty theft was reported in the 31500 block at 11:09 a.m. on Sunday. The caller said their 2001 Lexus RX300 parked in the driveway was ransacked. The caller said they weren’t sure at first whether the vehicle had been locked or if anything was stolen, but determined the vehicle had been left unlocked and nothing was stolen.

South Coast Highway: Animal calls were reported at 1:23 p.m. Sunday. The caller said a sick seal was at North Treasure Island beach through the arch. The caller requested the police station notify the Pacific Marine Mammal Center.

Eagle Rock Way: Grand theft was reported in the 31500 block at 3:47 p.m. on Sunday. An iPad, cell phone, bike and money was stolen from the caller’s unlocked Nissan Titan. The loss was estimated at $2,000.
