'Criminal Minds' cast attending Festival of Arts
TV's favorite FBI profilers will be spending an evening at the Festival of Arts.
The cast of the CBS show "Criminal Minds" is will be at the festival from 7 to 8 p.m. Saturday. The actors will greet fans, take photos and sign autographs before attending a performance of the Pageant of the Masters. Visitors who want a picture or autograph should bring their own camera and paper.

"We always look forward to welcoming Mr. Mantegna and his colleagues as special guests at the Festival of Arts each season," said Sharbie Higuchi, director of marketing and public relations for the Festival of Arts. "This year, we're sharing the fun with everyone!"
The Festival of Arts is at 650 Laguna Canyon Road.
Glassblowing classes offered in September
New this year, Sawdust Studio Art Classes will offer glassblowing classes from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily from Sept. 6 through the end of the month.
The class costs $250 and includes admission for up to two students, materials and instruction. Students will get a chance to create a glass masterpiece using hot malleable glass straight from the kiln, according to a news release.
Beginners are welcome.

Hot fashion goes green at Festival
The popular Festival Runway Fashion Show returns to the Festival of Arts from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday.
The show features festival exhibitors' "green" fashion designs — at least 80% of the materials used in the design must be reclaimed, reused or recycled, according to a news release.
Academy Award-winning actress Marlee Matlin will be one of the judges, and "Extra" correspondent Jerry Penacoli will host the show, now in its third year.
Last year's first-place winner, Brad Elsberry, returns to the competition this year. His winning design last year used eucalyptus bark from a tree that stood by his booth at the festival.
Gallery Q is host to 'Summer Reflections' show
The "Summer Reflections" exhibit is now showing at Gallery Q at the Susi Q Senior Center.
The original works from local artists include oils, acrylics, mixed media, photography and more. Most of the pieces are for sale, with 15% of the sales going to support activities and programs at the senior center.
The show runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday until the end of September.
An artist's reception is set for 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Sept. 8 at the gallery, 380 Third St.
