Get free admission to Art-A-Fair

Art-A-Fair is celebrating its final weekend of the summer season with Customer Appreciation Weekend, when admission will be free for all visitors.

Attendance and sales have been high all summer, and Art-A-Fair officials want to give something back to its customers.

The hunt for Arty, the 45th anniversary mascot, continues this weekend. The prize for finding him hidden on the grounds is a piece of Art-A-Fair art.

Art buyers entered into drawing for hotel stay

Buyers who purchased items from the 2011 Art-To-Go collection at the Festival of Arts have a chance to win a one-night stay at the Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel.

The Art-To-Go Buyers Bonus drawing will be announced at 1:45 p.m. Saturday on the center green at the Festival. All buyers will be entered into the drawing automatically.

Artwork in the collection is still available for purchase. Prices start at $75.

Art-To-Go is an annual fundraising program that benefits the Artists Fund, which provides relief to local artists in need.

Playhouse welcomes three new trustees

The Laguna Playhouse has added three new members to its board of trustees: Tim Carlyle and Glenn Gray of Laguna Beach and Justin Myers of Newport Beach.

Carlyle is a partner at an Irvine-based law firm. He is a member of the Mission Hospital Foundation Board and has served on the Laguna Beach Unified School District Board of Education and SchoolPower.

Gray is president and chief executive officer of Sunwest Bank. He is also on the board for Habitat for Humanity of Orange County and is involved in fundraising and awareness for Mission Hospital Laguna Beach.

Myers is the sales and marketing director of the Newport Beach Vineyards and Winery. He is involved with both the Newport Beach Sister City Assn. and the Laguna Beach Sister Cities Assn.
