North Laguna road to be closed

Traffic along parts of North Coast Highway in north Laguna will be impacted for about two hours Saturday morning, according to the United States Secret Service.

The road will close in both directions from Newport Coast Drive in Newport Beach to Ledroit Street in Laguna Beach from 8:30 a.m. to 8:50 a.m. and again from 10 a.m. to 10:20 a.m., Secret Service Agent Tin Nguyen wrote in an email.

President Obama is scheduled to be traveling through the area before he speaks during UC Irvine’s graduation ceremony.

Residents are urged to use alternate routes.
