Dr. Nils Nankin and Dr. Jessica Selander

Dr. Sheldon and Mrs. Sandra Nankin of Laguna Beach are pleased to announce the engagement of their son, Dr. Nils Nankin to Dr. Jessica Selander of Stratford, Connecticut. Nils is the grandson of Mrs. Marian Lee and the late Jess Lee, and the brother of Ingrid Nankin, also of Laguna Beach.

The future groom is a graduate of Laguna Beach High School. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychobiology from UCLA in 2003 and his Doctorate of Medicine Degree from Tufts University School of Medicine in 2007. He is currently Chief Resident in Radiology at Harbor - UCLA Medical Center and will subsequently enter a fellowship specializing inwomen’s health.

The future bride is the daughter of Lennart and Linda Selander of Stratford, Connecticut. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biopsychology from Boston College, followed by a Master’s Degree in Physiology and Biophysics from Georgetown University. She then returned to Boston to attend Tufts University School of Medicine where the couple first met. After receiving her Doctorate of Medicine Degree, she completed a residency program in Obstetrics and Gynecology at University of California, San Diego. She is currently in practice at Kaiser Permanente Hospital, Orange County.

A June 2012 wedding is planned in the bride’s home state of Connecticut.
