Members of the Laguna Beach Elite Cross-Country boys’ program, which includes several members of the Laguna Beach High boys’ cross-country program competed at the Nite Moves summer race in Santa Barbara July 30.

The event drew more than 200 runners who competed in age division races.

“The boys ran well and had a great time in Santa Barbara,” Laguna Coach Scott Wittkop said. “These are just tune-up events to get them back into the swing of things.”

The Laguna boys’ team currently is in Grover, Utah, this week for a team retreat. Wittkop said the trip will “focus on training and team unity” in addition to various workouts.
