Former Daily Pilot Editor Tony Dodero is taking on a director position for a Santa Ana-based extended learning program.

Dodero on Monday was named director of marketing and communications for THINK Together, a nonprofit that provides 100,000 students across Southern California and Sacramento with after school programs, small group tutoring and summer learning.

THINK Together started in Costa Mesa’s Shalimar neighborhood.

“Tony is a consummate professional who brings a wealth of experience in the marketing and communications field,” Alicia Maciel, director of strategic initiatives, said in a prepared statement. “We are very excited to have him join our organization. His entrepreneurial spirit and solid skill set align perfectly with our momentum as we expand our programs across California.”
