Pet of The Week

Buddy, a 5-year-old Terrier mix, came to the shelter after his elderly owner passed away. Then Cookie, his younger “sister” who is a Shih Tzu, underwent surgery to remove a malignancy; she is recovering and soon will be available for “special needs” adoption.

Despite all this upheaval and potential for feeling abandoned, Buddy is an amazingly friendly and upbeat guy. He greets you with a wagging tail, eager to go for walks. Healthy and neutered, he just needs more exercise to slim down from his current 40-plus pounds.

Most of all, our Buddy is looking for a new buddy of his own. His adoption fees will be discounted 25% all week, when you mention this announcement.
