Little Patriots Take a Hike

The Environmental Nature Center of Newport Beach hosts a pre-Fourth of July hike for children ages 3 to 5, where they will go looking for things in nature colored red, white or blue. The hike is from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the ENC, 1601 16th St. Cost is $6 for non-members and $5 for members. Parkinson’s Fitness Class

‘The Taming of the Shrew’

The city of Newport Beach presents its second annual Newport Peninsula Bike Parade and Community Festival at 9 a.m. on Balboa Boulevard and the 38th Street Park.
