Morgan Boukather, a 6-foot-2 opposite who will be a senior in the fall at Corona del Mar High, has verbally committed to play volleyball at
Boukather, a Daily Pilot Dream Team selection, received several offers. She narrowed her choices to Duke,
Boukather, who can also play outside hitter, helped lead the Sea Kings to their fourth straight Pacific Coast League championship last season. She led CdM with 307 kills and contributed 58 digs, 55 aces, 48 blocks and 32 assists.
Boukather earned first-team All-PCL and All-CIF Southern Section Division II honors. She was part of the team that completed second-straight appearances in the CIF Southern Section Division II-AA championship match and CIF State Southern California Regional Division II final.
She has played for TCA volleyball club in Fountain Valley since she was 13.

Knapp ends strong
Jake Knapp, who will be a junior in the fall at Estancia High, finished tied for 21st in the boys' 15-17-year-old division at the Junior World Golf Championships Friday at
Knapp finished nine-over-par 297 (76-76-74-71), but was tied for second for the low of the final day with a 71.
Adam Svensson of Canada won the title finishing at six-under 282.
Knapp shot a 10-under-par 60 to win the Junior World Qualifier at Buenaventura Golf Course last month.

Breakers now in last
The Newport Beach Breakers fell to last place in the Western Conference after losing to the St. Louis Aces, 21-15, Saturday night.
The Aces were led by the strong women's duo of Lindsay and
Lester Cook helped Newport Beach win in men's doubles, with Cory Parr, and mixed doubles, with Pelletier.
But Cook lost in men's singles, falling to Andrei Pavel, 5-1.
The Breakers play host to the Kansas City Explorers Tuesday at 7:15 p.m.
