A 65-year-old Costa Mesa man pleaded not guilty Thursday to charges that he sexually assaulted a 28-year-old woman while she received massage therapy, according to court records.

Dennis Scott Durbin could face up to four years in state prison, and a lifetime of having to register as a sex offender, if convicted of one felony count of sexual battery by fraud, according to the Orange County district attorney’s office.

Prosecutors said the woman first visited Sky Park Chiropractic in Irvine in July for therapy for an injured knee. During that visit, Durbin offered her an additional therapeutic massage.

When the woman next visited the office Aug. 4, Durbin is accused of touching “intimate parts” of her body, according to the D.A.’s office.

Durbin is next expected to appear in court Sept. 24 for a pretrial hearing.
