‘Theophilus North’
“Theophilus North,” a critically acclaimed play set in the 1920s about a man on a cross-country journey with just his old car and a load of ambition, will be performed in the Barbara Van Holt Theater at Estancia High School, 2323 Placentia Ave., Costa Mesa. Newport Beach-based Lemon Drop Club, which hosts singles parties in Orange County geared for adults around the age of 40 and up, will have its Toys for Tots fundraiser party from 7 to midnight at the Wyndham Hotel, 3350 Avenue of the Arts, Costa Mesa. Bring an unwrapped toy for the U.S. Marines Toys for Tots program. The story of the arrival of the Christ Child in the little town of Bethlehem will be told through the music, and drama of the Covenant Choir, Praise Band, brass, percussion, children’s group and the Covenant Thespians as they present Claar-Clydesdale’s “A Baby Changes Everything” at the Presbyterian Church of the Covenant, 2750 Fairview Road,
Costa Mesa. To assure that seating will be available for the 10:30 a.m. show, the church is issuing a
limited number of tickets on the patio after the Saturday services. There is no charge for these tickets, but a free-will offering will take
