COSTA MESA — Nic Sargeant had 21 points for the Sailors in the Estancia Coast Classic silver division consolation game Saturday.
Robbie Reddig, Kevin Rakestraw and Brian Robbs all had 10 points for Newport (8-7). Zach Wade had five points and five assists.
The Sailors open Sunset League play at home against Edison at 7 p.m. Friday.

The Griffins, ranked No. 2 in Orange County by the Register and No. 9 in CIF Southern Section Division 1, led, 1-0, at halftime.
