LaVera Burns passed away peacefully after a 2003 diagnosis of Alzheimer’s Disease.
Her beloved husband Tom Burke, succumbed to cancer in November of 2010.
LaVera is survived by her son, Greg Burns (and his daughters, Emma Grace and Irish Faith) and daughter, Stephanie Lamons (and her sons Dutch and Remington).
LaVera was a successful Real Estate broker in Corona del Mar for many years,winning numerous accolades for high sales performance with Coldwell Banker. She sold and resold properties in two popular tracts over the years and once closed five sales in a single day.

LaVera was one of many gorgeous sisters and was known for being as beautiful on the inside as she was on the outside. She was a loved friend, mother and wife. She was especially kind and generous to others and taught her children, above all, to be peacemakers.

LaVera traveled the world and was socially gifted. The joy of her life was singing and even after she lost the ability to speak, amazingly, she still sang joyfully every day.

LaVera will be sweetly remembered by the many people that she mentored and helped over the years, especially all of her children (both natural and ‘adopted’). She was absolutely cherished by her family for her devotion and unconditional love and will be missed greatly.

A memorial tribute will be held at the Mariners Church Chapel in Irvine, on Tuesday June 12th at 10am.
