Those who want to see Newport Beach up close from the comfort of their homes will soon be able to add four new programs to their summer viewing schedule, courtesy of Newport Beach Television.

The station, also known as NBTV, announced this week that “Dine Newport Beach,” a program hosted by Carrie Williams that provides a behind-the-scenes look at the restaurant scene; “Active Me,” a health and lifestyle program hosted by Kelly Lam; and “The Backstory,” a look at local people and places hosted by Newport Beach & Co. President Gary Sherwin, will debut next week.

The following week, the station will debut “Talking the Town,” a news program hosted by Executive Producer Tom Johnson.

“I’m hoping residents and visitors will enjoy the new programs,” Johnson, a former Daily Pilot publisher, said in a news release. “Our goal is to continue to build on this and promote the interesting things happening around the city.”

Show times for the new programs will be posted Monday on the NBTV Facebook page.
