The Winery Restaurant & Wine Bar opened its second location in Orange County last week, at 3131 W. Coast Hwy. in Newport Beach, overlooking the marina.
The restaurant aims to provide an experience similar to that at its flagship location, at The District in Tustin, which opened its doors in August 2007.
The menu focuses on contemporary California regional cuisine and offers wild game and prime steaks, as well as Pacific Rim flavorings, such as fresh line-caught opah, mong chong, ono and mahi-mahi flown in daily from Hawaii. Chef Yvon Goetz uses selections from the expansive wine list in many of his signature dishes.
A team of eight certified sommeliers will help guests select wine from a state-of-the-art, two-story, temperature-controlled glass wine cellar with a 6,000-bottle capacity.
The Winery has a second-story cigar patio overlooking the marina with plush sofas, large flat-screen televisions, a dual-sided fireplace and heaters.
